How To Apply

The Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric Program (PAGE) provides annual payment assistance on your electric and gas for low to moderate income families. Applicants must provide a copy of the application with the following documents:

Service Priority

PAGE, which stands for Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric, is a state-funded utility assistance program that helps low to moderate-income families in New Jersey pay their utility bills.
Administered by the Affordable Housing Alliance, the PAGE program is funded by the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) and is designed to help households across the state of New Jersey who are experiencing economic hardship and struggling to pay their electric and natural gas bills. Elegibility Criteria

  1. Annual income per applicant household size must fall within the income guidelines.
  2. Minimum $100 account balance.
  3. Utility account must be currently 45 days or more past due, have received a disconnection notice and/or service has already been disconnected.
  4. Must not currently be applying for, receiving, or have received any benefit through the LIHEAP program within the current heating season. If receiving a USF benefit, must wait until the (following) month after receiving the last USF benefit to be eligible for PAGE.
  5. Applications CANNOT be processed until all requested documents are submitted.
